The Old Railway Station
The Old Railway Station is a 4-star guest house on Station Road, built into a former Victorian railway station a couple of miles outside Petworth itself.
The old station building closed to passengers decades ago, and it's since been converted into one of the more distinctive places to stay in the area — some rooms are in the original station house, others in a pair of vintage Pullman railway carriages parked alongside it. It's a genuinely unusual overnight stay for anyone touring Petworth and the South Downs, and it holds an excellent 4.8 out of 5 rating on Google from close to 400 reviews.
